Paddle through the freshwater tributaries of the Withlacoochee River surrounded by aquatic plants and towering bald knee cypress trees. This wetland ecosystem is host to the native white swamp spider lily and orange butterfly weed. Be on the lookout for a variety of birds: Limpkins, Kingfishers, Anhinga, and Hawks. Spot turtles enjoying the sunrays. Listen closely and you may hear, and get a glimpse of, some white tailed deer, racoons, and wild hogs.
