Moonlit Waters
Watch as the Full Moon starts to glow behind the palm trees, getting bigger and brighter as it rises into the night sky. The bright moonlight then dances across the water, painting a shimmering path to kayak along. This peaceful evening winds down when the stars start to come out. The journey takes about 2½ Hours and gives you plenty of time to unwind and relax surrounded by the scenic natural beauty in Homosassa, Florida.
Wildlife Sightings
When the sun starts to go down, the river comes to life with wildlife activity. Otters are very active at sunset, along with many native bird species: osprey, bald eagle, great blue heron, and more. Listen for the soft hoot of the barred owls, and watch as lightning bugs blink on the shorelines. During the winter months we encounter Manatees as they travel to and from the Gulf, into our warm Springs. Every once in awhile, we get to see Dolphins!
