This is a specialized paddle on Chassahowitzka River! We will paddle down river and see a beautiful display of colors after the sun sets through the palm trees and swamp hammock.
We stop at a primitive area where it opens up and we have a great view of the night sky to watch for shooting stars!!!
The Draconids is predicted to be a good show this year! Shooting stars are more visible in the early evening as opposed to late evening like most other meteor showers!
We also learn about the different constellations, planets and how the native indians and sailors used the night sky as a calendar and for navigating at night.
You never know what kind of surprises and wildlife we will see and hear along the way! Lightning bugs, Owls, frogs singing!
This is an adventurous night time kayak tour.
It is not suitable for beginner kayakers and children under 14.
Kayaks and all the gear is included. We outfit our kayaks with lights for safety and navigating at night.
