About the event

8,500 acres of conservation land that protects the area's groundwater recharge and sustains wetland habitats. As we paddle the dark waters of the Withlacoochee River we will see alligators, turtles, several species of birds and an abundance of freshwater aquatic plants. We will get to see a unique area of the river where the clear water of Gum Slough Spring Creek Run empties into the tannin-colored waters of the Withlacoochee River.
