Explore a unique coastal ecosystem blended with freshwater creeks full of wildlife! Rivers to Gulf Kayaking Adventure This unique ecosystems hosts a dense salt marsh and barrier islands covered in mangroves. Dolphins are very active and sea turtles pop up from time to time. Birdlife is abundant and this is one of the few places we see Roseate Spoonbills year round. Spot Kingfishers, Bald Eagles, Osprey, and LOTS of pelicans. We'll start on the coast, exploring the barrier islands along the Gulf, before transitioning to the tidal creeks of the Withlacoochee. This tour connects you with ecosystems that support saltwater and freshwater species all in one place. This dense coastal wetland is an important rookery for threatened bird species like the roseate spoonbill and wood stork.
